OBDII Code Reader Specifications

The OBDII Scanner is a compact and portable device for reading and erasing trouble codes in vehicles. This unit is very small, light, and easy to use. It is a standalone unit that does not require a computer to operate. It performs the same basic function as tools which are far more expensive. This works with all model years from 1996 to current with a 16-pin diagnostic socket for generic OBDII protocols (SAE J1850 PWM, SAE J1850 VPW, ISO9 141-2) and EOBDII.

This Scanner is specially designed for home mechanics and do-it-yourself car owners. With the OBDII Scanner, you can quickly access the diagnostic trouble codes stored within your car's computer for faster and easier troubleshooting and repair. Simply connect the OBDII Scanner to your car's diagnostic socket and use the buttons to both read and clear the codes that have been stored. Code book included!

FUNCTIONS
- Read trouble codes: press the "READ" button. The OBDII Scanner will read all codes one by one.
- Clear trouble codes: press the "CLEAR" button.

OPERATION
- Plug the OBDII Scanner into the 16-pin socket usually located under the instrument panel in the car and turn on the ignition. See Figures below:
